Organizers of the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup are looking for volunteers.

The annual event takes place this year from Sept. 19-27.

In 2008, over 63,000 Canadians in 1,531 locations took part in the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup.

Volunteers collected plastic bottles, cigarette butts, MP3 players and shopping carts from Canadian shorelines, items that contribute to land pollution and harming wildlife and their habitats.
