The Ganaraska Hiking Club of Wasaga Beach will hold its annual introduction to snowshoeing event on Sat., Feb. 13 at Oakview Woods, next to the gazebo adjacent to the RecPlex, from noon until 2 p.m.

The event is free and is open to people age seven and older. Please wear boots with little or no heel.

All equipment will be supplied and participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a snowshoe hike through some of the oldest forest in the Georgian Bay region. Youth are invited to participate in identifying animals, birds and plants as they trek the trail.

A snow date has been set for Sat., Feb. 20, in case of a sudden thaw.
